There are many different mountain's around Taipei that are accessible by the MRT which is very convenient. My goal is to climb all of them but we shall see!

P, M, A and I decided to tackle on elephant mountain because it was close by to us. I love outdoors and exercising but nothing could prepare me for this. At first, we were not sure whether we were in the right direction. We wanted to see the sunset as that would be the only time worth going! This was our third attempt to go because every other time we either got home late or were too tired.

We make it to the entrance and look up the stairs. I am not lying- the stairs were a 90 degree incline. We take a deep breath and up we go. It was tough, I thought about running for some of it but it was really heavy on the knees. I don 't know how to explain the climb but it isn't like hiking in Canada. Once we finally get to the top after a couple or shall I say a few breaks, it was gorgeous. Breath-taking. We made it just in time for the sunset and it was a view that we just had to take in. We took some really cute pictures with each other and of ourselves. We also found another viewpoint to see Taipei 101. It was breathtaking and I am so happy we did it. The only downside was the amount of mosquitoes that attacked us. We were bitten alive! Worth it though!!!
